Vegan Roasted Cauliflower Steak

Hey guys! As the holidays are fast approaching I wanted to share one of my favorite recipes to make for almost every dinner party/holiday event I’m invited to.

It’s very quick and easy! Just chop, season, bake and you’re good to go. Of course, like all my recipes you can adjust it to your needs depending on your taste or how many people you plan to feed.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head cauliflower, sliced lengthwise through the core

For the sauce:

  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1-2 sprigs of rosemary, finely chopped

  • 1/2 tbsp cumin

  • 1/2 cup of olive oil

  • salt + pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Remove the green leaves and trim stems from the cauliflower head. Using a knife, cut the cauliflower into 1 1/2 inch thick “steaks”. Depending on the size of your cauliflower, you should get about 4 to 6 pieces total.

  3. Place cauliflower steaks on a baking sheet.

  4. In a medium bowl, mix together the seasoning + olive oil. You can brush or drizzle the sauce onto both sides your cauliflower steaks.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until cauliflower steaks are tender.

  6. Once ready, transfer to a serving plate or eat it straight from the baking sheet because you have no self control (like me)
