Baked Tofu Fries

Hey yall! Heres a quick snack idea that is both super easy and quick.

Ingredients

  • 1 block of extra firm tofu
  • Olive oil or sesame seed oil
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric 
  • 1/2 tbsp paprika
  • salt + pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Slice tofu into 1/2 inch thick sticks. 
  2. On a separate bowl, mix in all spices. 
  3. Press your tofu sticks to remove excess water taking paper towels and gently squeeze as much liquid as possible.
  4. Once ready, lay out your tofu on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush oil on the tops of your tofu fries and sprinkle spices on top. 
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until close to crisp.
